Summary:
|
CE (Legal) requires a board meeting for the purpose of adopting a budget for the succeeding year. Any taxpayer of a district may be present to participate in the meeting. Truth-in-taxation requires the District to post its meeting to adopt the proposed budget and tax rate, together with a summary of the proposed budget, in a local newspaper no later than 10 days or earlier than 30 days before the date of the public meeting. The Notice was posted on June 2, 2023 and June 9, 2023.
Individuals wishing to comment during the Public Hearing must sign up in advance by completing and submitting a speaker form one hour before the meeting begins. The speaker card is available at www.crowleyisdtx.org/openforum.

By way of this Public Hearing, the community is invited to participate by offering opinions/statements on the budget and tax rate for the 2023-2024 school year.
