Summary:

Aramark Food Service Company is the current Food Service Management Company (FSMC) for Crowley ISD. 2021-22 will be the first optional year of the 5-year awarded contract. Each optional year must be mutually agreed upon in order to execute. Each year, the District must provide its intent with regard to renewing the FSMC contract to the Texas Department of Agriculture, (TDA) for approval by April 30.
Aramark accomplishments in 2020-21 are identified as the continuation of feeding our students not only to finish the school year during the pandemic, but to also feed the students in the summer and making sure that our virtual students were being fed during the week. Aramark also provided weekend meals for all students in CISD. Although the number of students and service days did not meet the contract agreement due to the pandemic, Aramark is still projected to exceed the guaranteed return. Aramark has conducted several stakeholder surveys during the 2020-2021 school year. A summary on the insights and actions from those surveys is attached. Aramark also looks forward to conducting both a secondary student and parent survey opportunity this spring.

Budgetary Impact:

For fiscal year 2020-21 the guaranteed return is $1,655,652. Results through December 2020 show Aramark and CISD Child Nutrition is on track to achieve the contracted return. For fiscal year 2021-22, the guaranteed return will be at least $1,650,000.
