Summary:

We are in final stages of developing a 2021-2022 school calendar that maximizes instruction time to help all students thrive.
Two potential drafts of the calendar were reviewed by Cabinet, the District-Wide Educational Improvement Council (DWEIC) and principals. An online survey was also made available to parents, students and staff.
Summary of Draft Calendar A:
-Teacher contracts begin: Wednesday, Aug. 4
-First day of school: Thursday, Aug. 12
-Thanksgiving break: 5 days
Summary of Calendar Draft B:
-Teacher contracts begin: Friday, Aug. 6
-First day of school: Monday, Aug. 16
-Thanksgiving break: 3 days
Both draft calendars include 175 instructional days for students and 187 contract days for teachers.
