Summary: There are three basic systems in place that provide public deaf education services in the state of Texas. A student may receive services from one or more of these systems:

-LEA - Local education agency (home school district)
-RDSPD - Regional Day School Programs for the Deaf
-TSD – Texas School for the programs were developed to help maximize resources and staff, to better serve students throughout the state.

Each RDSPD is unique and may offer various services depending on the number of students they serve, as well as other factors.

Crowley Independent School District (Crowley ISD) is the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf for the following Region 11 school districts:

Alvarado
Burleson
Cleburne
Everman
Joshua
Johnson County Shared Services Arrangement (Godley, Grandview, Keene, Rio Vista)

Crowley ISD serves as the Fiscal Agent for the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf. The contract between the Fiscal Agent and shared service arrangement district is renewed annually by the Board of Trustees.
Budgetary Impact: None. Crowley ISD is the Fiscal Agent.
Recommendation: None at this time. This is a future action item.
