Summary: The Blended Learning Grant Program (BLGP) is a four-year process to design, launch, and scale a high-quality blended learning program. Beginning with a planning year in year 0, districts will grow the blended learning program from a subset of grades in year 1 to a full feeder pattern implementation in 4 years.

The BLGP offers options for district participation in math, through Math Innovation Zones (MIZ), and in non-math subjects, through the non-math blended learning pilots. Both MIZ and non-math blended learning pilot sites will focus on Fidelity of Implementation (FOI) in planning and execution to design and implement a high-quality blended learning program.

The MIZ/BLGP Sustainability Grant provides districts with sustainability planning supports to a redesign the master schedule of a participating school and ensuring a sustainable financial plan. With these supports, districts will sustain their blended learning programs by developing a sustainability plan that aligns these operational decisions with their academic needs.
Budgetary Impact: Crowley ISD has received $120,487 of grant funds for the MIZ Sustainability Grant.
Recommendation: Recommend acceptance of the MIZ grant award as presented.
