Summary: The following updates have been made in the 2021-22 Compensation Plan

Substitutes/Classroom Coverage:
-A certified teacher accepting an absent teacher’s students when the position is unfilled will be paid at the rate of $25/day.
-Elementary campuses can compensate a maximum of four (4) teachers per absent teacher per day.
-Secondary campuses can compensate a maximum of five (5) teachers per absent teacher per day.
-Secondary teachers must be available to receive students during each of their instructional periods in a given school day as assigned by the campus administrators.

After School Tutors:
-An hourly wage of $30 will be provided for after school program tutors.
-Tutors hired to work during the school day will be paid $80 daily.
-Compensation for grant-funded tutoring/intervention staff will be outlined by the parameters set within the grant and subject to availability of the specific grant funds.
Budgetary Impact: Classroom Coverage: $25/day
After School Program Tutors/Teachers: $30/hour
Recommendation: Recommend the modification of the 2021-2022 Compensation Plan to reflect the updates related to after school staff and teachers covering classrooms as presented.
