Summary: The Texas School Safety Center recently conducted an Intruder Detection Audit at one or more of our campuses. The state gives school districts 45 days from official notification to enact corrective actions and we took immediate action as a response to the findings.

While we are not releasing any sensitive details to the public regarding the audit in open session, a corrective action plan was put into place due to the findings. This audit is conducted as part of Governor Abbott’s school safety directives for all school systems to help school districts identify how campuses can improve safety for our children and staff, such as ensuring exterior doors are locked.

The audit provides Crowley ISD with an opportunity to create a safer learning environment and is just one of the many actions that we are taking to ensure that our schools are safe.
