Summary:
|
In light of recent shortages seen in key roles of the daily operations of campuses, districts state-wide are responding with increases in hourly rates for many of their non-exempt and contracted service employees. In response to the competitive nature for recruitment and retention in our own area, the District team would like to review the compensation of our of ABM, Aramark and Durham employees.

Budgetary Impact:

Durham: Not to exceed $834,100 Aramark: 160 employees= $160,000 ABM: 140 employees= $140,000

Recommendation:
|
I recommend approval for: -the identified Aramark and ABM staff to receive a $1,000 one-time payment -Durham transportation to increase starting wages of Bus Drivers, Staff, and Mechanics to $19 per hour and increase the starting wages for Bus Monitors to $10 per hour
