Communities in Schools (CIS) is a drop-out prevention non-profit that employs social workers to work inside individual schools to provide intensive case-management to at-risk students. The mission of CIS is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Additionally, CIS has 28 years of experience serving schools and districts across Tarrant County. CIS has served Crowley ISD for 11 years and serviced 13 schools during the 2019-2020 school year. Currently, we have 13 campuses that have Communities in Schools social workers. Those campuses are: Parkway Elementary, Meadowcreek Elementary, Mary Harris Elementary, David L. Walker Elementary, Sycamore Elementary, J.A. Hargrave Elementary, H.F. Stevens Middle, Crowley Middle, Crowley 9th Grade, North Crowley 9th Grade, Crowley High School, North Crowley High School and Crowley Learning Center.

Budgetary Impact:

$547,500 annually/with two equal payment of $273,750 2021-2022. This moves each of our 13 campuses from $41,000 to $42,000. This is an increase of $13,000. Also, an additional $1,500 has been added due to the extend year for ADSY at David Walker Elementary. The total adjustment for 2021-2022 has moved $533,000 (2020-2021) to $547,500 (2021-2022)
